Dai Gyakuten Saiban: several new screenshots for the multi-witness system

Last week was pretty great for fans of the Ace Attorney series, with lots of news regarding the first entry in a brand new series: Dai Gyakuten Saiban – Naruhodou Ryuunosuke no Bouken (lit. The Great Ace Attorney: The Adventure of Naruhodou Ryuunosuke). There was Famitsu scans, some screenshots, and more… even a 5 minute trailer!

This all came after months of complete silence from Capcom (who did showcase the game during the various Monster Hunter Festa 2015 events across Japan, though). But it looks like the company is ready to reveal new things on a much more regular basis from now on. Indeed: a brand new batch of screenshots was revealed today.

Those new screenshots showcase a feature confirmed back in December, and re-confirmed last week: the multi-witness system . They seem to work the same way as in Professor Layton vs Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney, where they were called Mob Trials.

The screens show Naruhodou Ryuunosuke questionning three witness at once (a groupe of gentlemen). When each of them is telling their stories, you have to look out for reactions from the others (using the slider on the bottom screen to look at their faces), when pressing them. When you’ve spotted one, you try and dig up more information. That way, you can find contradictions and expose the lies/inaccuracies in their testimonies.

Here’s the new screenshots for Dai Gyakuten Saiban – Naruhodou Ryuunosuke no Bouken:

Dai Gyakuten Saiban: Naruhodou Ryuunosuke no Bouken (3DS) comes out on July 9th in Japan.
