Mario Kart 8: 150cc vs 200cc comparison video for Piranha Plant Pipeway

Last week, during the latest Nintendo Direct, Nintendo made a rather surprising announcement. Not only would the second DLC pack (which has an Animal Crossing theme) come out on April 23rd instead of May, but the game will also get an update on the same date. But what’s surprising isn’t the update itself, but one of the new feature it will bring to Mario Kart 8.

That feature is a brand new class, called 200cc. If you found that 150cc was too fast for you, 200cc is going to make you cry in despair, as it is much, much faster. Unless you use the breaks often, you’re going to crash into walls / fall down pits / get a lava bath more often than not… you have been warned!

On Thursday, Nintendo released two videos showcasing this new class, including one comparing Dolphin Shoals in 150cc and 200cc. Today, they uploaded a new one, this time for Piranha Plant Pipeway:

As you can see, the difference between 150cc and 200cc is quite impressive!

The update and the second DLC Pack for Mario Kart 8 will be released on April 23rd.
