Corpse Party getting a live-action movie this Summer in Japan
Last week, Famitsu magazine revealed that 5pb. was working on a 3DS version of Corpse Party: Blood Covered… Repeated Fear (which originally came out in 2010 on the PSP). This may have seem like a rather random move (especially since 5pb. hasn’t published much on Nintendo consoles), but there’s more to that announcement that we initially thought.
This morning, it was announced that a live-action movie for Corpse Party would come out this Summer in Japan, meaning that the 3DS game is basically a tie-in with that theatrical adaptation (at least, fans won’t have to deal with the usual licenced games of dubious quality). A live shooting will take place on March 15, which will also be broadcast on NicoNico.
Staff/Cast includes:
– Yamada Masafumi (Director)
– Akamatsu Yoshimasa (Screenplay)
– Asami Imai (sings the main theme)
– Ikoma Rina
– Ikeoka Ryousuke
– Nozomia Maeda
Here’s some pictures of the cast, as well as the poster for the movie and an artwork for the game:
