Chibi-Robo! Zip Lash: Japanese overview video

Chibi-Robo! Zip Lash JP WebThis morning, Nintendo uploaded their usual overview video for Chibi-Robo! Zip Lash, which is coming out in a little over three weeks in Japan. It starts with a short reminder about the story, which is about aliens coming on Earth to steal its ressources. Chibi-Robo! is then sent to save the day, with his power cord as sole weapon. He can use it for defeating enemies (including bosses), but also moving around the levels.

Chibi-Robo! may be strong, but he has a glaring weak point: he needs energy to function properly! If you run out of power, it’s game over… plain and simple. To avoid that, you need to use the charging station found in the levels. Some of them are a bit special, as they allow you to get some power-ups:

  • Red charging station: fire power-up;
  • Blue charging station: ice power-up, allows you to freeze water and skate on it.

And to add a little bit of variety in the gameplay, the developers added some special levels with vechiles: in ther air, on the water, underwater or on land. There’s also some costumes to unlock, and plenty of treasure boxes to find, with real-life snacks inside: there’s 100 in total.

Finally, the overview video ends with a short amiibo overview, showing what you can do with the Chibi-Robo! amiibo. It allows you to transform into Chibi-Robo once per day, level up Chibi-Robo, unlock some figures via the capsule machine, but also get some extra stages, and more.

Here’s the overview video for Chibi-Robo! Zip Lash:

Chibi-Robo! Zip Lash (3DS) comes out on October 8th in Japan, October 9th in North America, and November 6th in Europe.
