Capcom LIVE!: Capcom’s official live concert tour announced

Capcom LiveOn Monday, Capcom announced Capcom LIVE!: a “rockestral” (rock + orchestral) concert world tour, which will begin in March 2016. It will feature live performances of music from more than ten Capcom series from the 1980s up through the present day, all completely synchronized to HD visuals (a bit like The Legend of Zelda: Symphony of the Goddesses).

Here’s the list of series to be features in Capcom LIVE!:

  • Ace Attorney
  • Breath of Fire
  • Devil May Cry
  • Dragon’s Dogma
  • Final Fight
  • Ghosts ‘n Goblins / Ghouls ‘n Ghosts
  • Mega Man (including Mega Man X)
  • Monster Hunter
  • Okami
  • Resident Evil
  • Street Fighter
  • and more…

Basically, the concert combines rock and orchestral music, along with visual effects and specialized lighting. With this tour Capcom aims to please not just video game fans, but also the general public, and fans of music in general.

The tour will kick off next month with public performances in China. After that, concerts will be held in North American cities such as Boston, before expanding to other areas next year. Capcom’s aim is to have more than 30 concerts worldwide in Japan, Europe, Central and South America, and Asia.

Here’s the planning for the tour:

  • China (Shanghai: March 19th, Beijing: March 26th), Boston: April 9th
  • North America, Central & South America, Europe, Asia: 30-40 public performances plain 2017
