[Brief] Star Fox Zero to have a multiplayer mode

The co-op mode for Star Fox Zero was actually confirmed back in June in an interview published on Polygon.

Back at E3 2015, Star Fox Zero was announced as a Single Player only game, with no multiplayer mode whatsoever. However, it turns out that the game might actually have one: both the game page on Nintendo of Europe’s website (updated on Sunday) and Nintendo of America’s teaser website mention that the game is playable by 1 or 2 players. The teaser website even mentions “online features”.

Will Star Fox Zero have a co-op or Versus Mode? Local-only and/or online? Leaderboards? Is that multiplayer component the reason Nintendo needed more time to polish the game? Unfortunately, we will have to wait a bit more before finding out… maybe until the Nintendo Direct confirmed for this year?

Star Fox Zero (Wii U) comes out in Q1 2016 in Europe and North America, and this Spring in Japan.
