[Brief] Sonic Boom: second TV series announced

The two Sonic Boom games on Wii U and Nintendo 3DS may not have been masterpieces, with rather poor sales, this is not the case of the anime series. Unlike the games, it’s been enjoying strong popularity in North America, and in several other countries around the world where it’s broadcast. In fact, it’s so popular it’s even getting a second series!

During the MIPCOM 2015 (a global event taking place every year in Cannes, entirely dedicated to the entertainment market), LE Rights (who distributes the anime series is most parts of the world) announced that SEGA and OuiDO! have already started working on a second TV series for Sonic Boom. We don’t know when it will start, but there’s no doubt we should hear more about that in the next few weeks/months.

As for the Sonic Boom video game series, Sonic Boom: Fire & Ice is coming out next year (after an unexpected delay, as it was originally supposed to come out in time for the holiday period). Maybe SEGA will try to time its release with the start of the second Sonic Boom TV series?
