Bravely Second: Introducing Magnolia Arch (Part 2)

bravelysecondToday, Nintendo UK uploaded another video for Bravely Second: End Layer (which comes out in less a little over two weeks in Europe). It introduces one of the new characters of this sequel: Magnolia Arch, who happens to come from… the moon. After crash landing on Luxendarc, she vows to help Yew Geneolgia save Agnès Oblige, who was kidnapped by Kaiser Oblivion.

In the Japanese version of the game, Magnolia Arch keeps putting English words here and there when she talks. Tomoya Asano even joked about that part, explaining that he and his team were trying their utmost to make the life of the localisation team difficult (that was even before the localisation was announced). In the English version, she (naturally!) speaks English, which is why the translators chose to have her use French words instead (such as “Et voilà!” for example).

The video introducing Magnolia Arch is actually a cutscene from the game, and more precisely an updated version of the very cutscene players can unlock by completing Bravely Default: Where the Fairy Flies (where you could look around using motion controls). Therefore, be careful if you’re going to watch it, as it may contain spoilers!

Here’s the video:

A reminder for European players: the demo version for the game will be available from the Nintendo eShop on Thursday (for those who didn’t get an early access code from the Nintendo UK Web Store).

Bravely Second: End Layer (3DS) comes out on February 26th in Europe, and April 15th in North America.
