Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night now available for pre-purchase, details on additional content

Yesterday, digital pre-orders for Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night went live on the Nintendo eShop in Europe and North America. The game costs 39.99€ / £34.99 / $39.99, which is the same as on all the other platforms (no Switch tax this time!), and will be available on June 25th in both regions (physical release is on June 28th in Europe, though).

In the United Kingdom, pre-order for the retail version come with an exclusive collector’s Novobox futurepak, available exclusively at GAME retail stores. Here’s what it looks like:

That futurepak will also be sold $14.99, exclusively for backers (though only 800 of them will be available).

Also, the latest Kickstarter update for the game is now live, and shares a few details about the additional content. First, it confirms that the content from the various stretchgoals of the Kickstarter update will come after launch, as free updates for everyone (not just backers). A Day 1 update will add the following:

  • Boss Rush
  • Speedrun mode
  • Pure Miriam outfit

And here’s the list of additional content coming after launch (more details about those coming at a later date):

  • Two additional playable characters
  • Local and online multiplayer for certain co-op and vs. modes
  • Roguelike mode
  • Chaos mode
  • Classic mode
  • Boss Revenge mode

As for the backer exclusive content (Iga Boss and the Swordwhip), it will be made available to everyone, as voted by backers. It will be released as The Iga’s Back Pack, for $9.99, at launch. Of course, backers who paid for it will get it for “free” and will not have to purchase it.
