Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night – E3 2017 trailer, latest development update

E3 2017 is next week, and publishers/developers have already started uploading their trailers. It’s the case of 505 Games (the publisher for Europe and North America), who uploaded the E3 2017 trailer for Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night earlier today. While the game still looks quite rough (no surprise: it’s not releasing before next year, after all), we can see a significant improvement over the build we saw back in January.

Here’s the E3 2017 trailer for Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night:

And yesterday, the latest development update was posted over at the Kickstarter page for the project. This time around, we have an interview with DICO, who are one of the two studios brought on board a few months ago to help with development.

Here’s what Koji Igarashi had to say about that:

Hello everyone! This is IGA. For this update, we interviewed DICO’s technical director at their workplace. (He’s too shy to show his face, so we cropped it out, but there are a few moments where you might catch him sneaking into the frame anyway…)

The interview might not be perfect, since I was the one asking the questions, but I hope you’re still able to get a peek into the development process.

We also took some footage of the staff hard at work, so you can see exactly where it is that Bloodstained is being made. We’re all working very hard every day, and we look forward to your continued support.

Here’s the interview, which does feature a fair bit of gameplay footage:

Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night (Switch) will be released next year.
