Azure Striker Gunvolt 2: new characters revealed, footage for Asrock’s stage

It’s in less than a month, in 20 days to be precise, that Azure Striker Gunvolt 2 will be released in Japan (on August 25th). Today, Inti Creates revealed some more new characters for the game, and once again, it’s members of The Seven (from Eden) who are introduced.

This time around, we have:

  • Asrock (voiced by Ohta Kazuki), known as the Pygmalion Furnace, and boss of the Doll -Puppeteer- mission. His attacks are Furnace of Inferno, Relais Rothenburg, Eruption X-Razor, Šakotis Diagram, Beans Bullet Gun, Beat of Entremets.
  • Jibryll (voiced by Maya Eyonoshi), known as the Full Metal Jacket, and boss of the Moonlight -Beast- mission. Her attacks are Mother of Magie, Rain Maker, Blood Brothers, Flash of the Blade, Strange World, Dance of Death, Childhood’s End, Iron Maiden.

But before we show you the screenshots and artworks, there’s some more gameplay footage for the game! Yesterday, Azure Striker Gunvolt 2 was showcased during the latest episode of Denjin Getcha. Keiji Inafune and Yoshihisa Tsuda (Director) were there, and played two levels:

  • the opening stage (already seen in a previous livestream);
  • Asrock’s stage, which is brand new.

And since Asrock is one of the new characters revealed today, the timing couldn’t be any better! Here’s some gameplay footage of his stage (which is for Copen), played by Yoshihisa Tsuda:

Next, here’s the screenshots and artworks for Asrock and Jibryll:

And finally, here’s the gameplay footage for the Opening stage:

Azure Striker Gunvolt 2 (3DS eShop) comes out on August 25th in Japan, September 30th in North America, and later this year in Europe. The Azure Striker Gunvolt: Striker Pack (at retail) will also be available on the same day in Japan and North America.
