Animal Crossing: New Horizons to get a new update this week (Ver. 1.11.0), even more free content coming this year

Nintendo have announced that the next Software update for Animal Crossing: New Horizons will be released this week (on July 28th in North America and July 29th in Europe and Japan). It’s Ver. 1.11.0 (full patch notes to be added to this page as soon as they’re available), and it will bring the following:

  • weekly Fireworks shows (every Saturday)
  • more seasonal items

And don’t forget: the Bug Off event is back, and will be held on August 28th and September 25th (if your island is set to Northern Atmosphere).

Here’s some screenshots of the Fireworks Shows and the seasonal items:

Also, Nintendo have confirmed that more Software updates with even more free content are on the way, and will be released later this year. However, it looks like players will have to wait before Nintendo are ready to make any announcements!

Important note: if you want to re-experience the 2020 version of the Summer events, make sure to do so before the Ver. 1.11.0 update is released. After downloading that update, you will no longer be able to travel back in time and enjoy those events.
