Ace Attorney 6: latest round of details, screenshots and artworks

Along with today’s article in Famitsu, Capcom has shared some more details, screenshots and artworks for Ace Attorney 6. Let’s start with the Kingdom of Kurain, which is place where the faith in the spirits of the ancestors is very strong (it is an integral part of the people’s daily lives). At the head of the Kingdom is a Queen, who also happens to be a medium.

The Kurain Supreme Court is located within the Jiin Temple, which shows just how deeply religion and faith are ingrained. In that court, the “Divine Message of the Spirits” is not below or above the Law: it is the Law itself.

Leyfa Padma Kurain is the pricess of the Kingdom of Kurain, but also an Oracle of Spirits (the third “power” in court, besides the Judge and the Prosecutor). She uses her powers to see the last moments of a victim, by performing a holy ritual (a dance). Those “moments” then show up at the surface of the Water Mirror, located at the very center of the courtroom.

The words at the surface of the water are said to be the “words of gods”, and cannot be disputed (another sign of how deeply ingrained religion and faith are in the Kingdom of Kurain). But the thing is: there are also contradictions in there, and Phoenix Wright certain will not let them slip. Players will be able to look at and analyse those “moments” as long and as many times as they want.

Ace Attorney 6 (3DS) comes out next year in Japan. The European and North American release have already been confirmed.
