Secret Neighbor – Ver. ??? (Winter Update)

Let it snow!
- Is it really Christmas if everything we see isn’t blanketed in a carpet of snow? Well, yes snow is actually very uncommon in some parts of the world. But not in Secret Neighbor! Snow’s back, and with it you can once again wrap up warm, gather your friends, build some snowmen with them and then pelt them with snowballs, because what else are friends for?
New Brawl Mode: BooYah Wars!
- Get your hooks ready folks, as the fan favourite brawl mode came home for Christmas! Separated by a chasm filled with lava, players must “booyah!” their way to victory by hooking their opponents and reeling them onto their side of the map. Obviously, you can also go the griefing route and just spend the game dropping your opponents in the river of magma that divides you, but you don’t get any points for that (and won’t win any friends that way either…) After 5 rounds, the team with the most rounds won, wins the game!
Some festive stocking fillers:
- Guest, Hunter, Ghost, Clown, Butcher and Quentin all have new skins, accessories and Christmas themed outfits for any unexpected holiday get-togethers! Even The Guest is getting into the Christmas spirit this year, with a new Santa themed skin! Not sure you’d be too thrilled seeing him come crawling out of your chimney however…
New Daily Quests:
- Quentin, The Hunter and Inventor are going to be especially busy this Christmas, with a bunch of new daily quests to complete!
Balance changes
- The Taxidermist’s toy gun now holds 4 bullets, reloads slowly and has a 5-second default cooldown
- Brave can break windows and traps with a baseball bat
- Bagger now has 150HP
- Scout’s fully charged shot will slow down instead of dealing a stun
- Reduced max damage dealt by item throw to 35
- Increased damage buff from milk by 33%
- Added slight cooldown to catching after transforming into the Neighbor
- Reduced number of traps in Quick Game
Wardrobe changes
- Items will no longer spawn in the wardrobes, and players can hide by pressing and holding the “Interact” button.
Inventor talent changes
- EXPERT METAL DETECTOR: The last tier will get an additional upgrade → Adds a flashlight to the metal detector.
Bug Fixes:
- Fixed issue when daily quests might not progressed or completed
- Fixed issue where Ghost might flicker in the Shop
- Fixed issue where characters might hold items incorrectly
- Fixed a number of regularly reported map exploits
- The player is no longer able to join a lobby if he was kicked from it

Secret Neighbor – Ver. 1.6.0.0 (Halloween Update 2023)

- Low Priority Rework: for those with a penalty to their name, there’s a special match in store. You’ll have to brave it out solo.
- Leaders skills got spookier: the Inspiration ability now decreases the time it takes to recover from a knockdown.
- Daily Quests are now in the Pause Menu
- Character Selection Screen has been upgraded.
- Explorers now need to keep an eye on their stamina when throwing items.
- Map 5 has been reworked: we opened up the first key zone and moved all zones one forward.
- Get ready for Halloween with New Skins and Emotes

What’s changed:
- Bagger’s milk obsession pays off! Unlock a new 4th slot and knock down doors faster
- Scout can now break bear traps with a slingshot
- Brave’s ‘Counter-Strike’ ability is charged when disarming traps, helping players escape traps, knocks, or Neighbor’s hands.
- Leader’s Inspiration skill removes fear and resists it for the ‘Inspiration’ duration + heals a little bit
- Ghost gets slimy with the ‘Portal’ skill. Block doors with gooey slime for a sticky surprise to intruders
- Chocolate gets a yummy buff! Now it provides a light healing boost
- No voice chat or emotes when caught silently
- Excessive emotes trigger a 20-second block. Let’s keep the emote symphony in harmony!
- New accessibility options have arrived to make your experience even better.
- No need to wait till the end! You can earn rewards such as coins and experience before leaving the match. Time is precious, and so are you!
- New effects for “Crow Sense”.
- Brighter lighting illuminates your adventures. No more dark corners – let the sun shine on your path!
- Neighbor’s rooms light up! Now each room has 3
- Teleportation baths are now on all the maps.
- Neighbor is now stunned after catching kids or if the player was knocked out of his hands.
- Wind effects have been improved.
- Escape bear traps! How many times should you press the jump button to hop your way to freedom?
- Now rifles in Brawl have ten bullets that can be shot quickly.
- Not receiving the damage when transforming has become trickier as the time frame is minimal.
- Now you can choose the number of traps and blocked elements in Custom Games; It’s your camp, set the rules!
- Exploits on Map 5 and Map 3 have been fixed.
- Doors now close smoothly

How to download updates for Secret Neighbor for the Nintendo Switch?
To download the updates for Secret Neighbor, you have three options:
- let the console do its thing if you have automatic downloads activated, and didn’t completely turn it off
If not…
- try to launch the game from the Home Menu while being connected to the internet. You should get a prompt when doing so: simply follow the instructions on screen;
OR
- select the game > press either + or – to go to the Options page > select Software update > select Via the Internet.
To check that you have the latest version installed, simply select the game on the Home Menu, and press – or + to go to the Options: the version number is displayed just below the game title.
