Europe – Zelda: Ocarina of Time (Wii U Virtual Console) coming out next week, 3DS releases

Outside of Nintendo Direct presentations, Nintendo rarely announces the upcoming release of Virtual Console titles in advance. But yesterday, Nintendo did just that, and on a Saturday to boot (talk about random!). Then again, it’s not just any game that was announced… it’s The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time (Nintendo 64), which is headed to the Wii U Virtual Console on Thursday, July 2nd.

Unfortunately, it’s extremely likely Nintendo will use the PAL version (in 50Hz) of the game on the Wii U Virtual Console, since the only games getting a 60Hz release in Europe are those with little text (or those where text is not crucial to the gameplay experience).

But that’s not all, here’s several other new releases headed to the European Nintendo eShop next week (July 2nd), on the Nintendo 3DS:

– Mighty Gunvolt (Inti Creates): 2.99€, coming out on July 3rd. You can get it for free by buying Azure Striker Gunvolt until July 2nd.
