Animal Crossing: New Leaf – Welcome amiibo

Today, Nintendo began uploaded a series of videos for Animal Crossing: New Leaf – Welcome amiibo. They show how you can summon various animals in the game, and meet them at the campground, in their own camping car (filled with unique furniture). Today, we start with Timmy and Tommy!

Game preservation

Game preservation is something that more and more people are paying attention to. After all, video games have become a part of the culture of many countries, especially those like Japan (home to many game companies, known by million of players around the world).

If that’s a topic that interests you, here’s a documentary from the NHK about game preservation (that doesn’t specifically focus on Nintendo platforms and games, though):

Super Mario Run

Here’s the latest animation for Super Mario Run:

Super Mario Run (iOS) comes out on December 15th, with the Android version following next year.

Tool Assisted Speedrun

Here’s the latest Tool Assisted Speedruns videos for Nintendo platforms:

  • Kirby: Canvas Curse (finished in 25:45.53)
  • Guilty Gear X: Advance Edition (finished in 03:57.66)
  • Prince of Persia 2 (finished in 09:18.95)
  • The Ninja Warriors (finished in 26:46.89)
  • Beetlejuice (finished in 08:40.96)
  • Beauty and the Beast (finished in 16:34.98)
  • Cybernoid: The Fighting Machine (finished in 04:38.36)

Majesco

Majesco, the game publisher, is no more. Polygon reports that the company merged with PolarityTE (a company developing tissue regeneration technology). This does seem like a rather strange move for a video game publisher, but it may be for the best as the past few years have been really rough for Majesco (what with the collapse of the casual market from the Wii / DS era).
