Ace Attorney: Spirit of Justice – Video for the Divination Séance, Psyche-Locked screens

Ace Attorney 6Today, Capcom shared the latest batch of screenshots for Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney – Spirit of Justice, which showcase the Psyche-Locks system. Here’s what we wrote about it last week:

At some points in the game, you will meet characters hiding things from you. When asking certain questions, they will simply refuse to answer, and you will have to break the Psyche-Lock(s) that appear in order to make them talk. To break those locks, you need to present the right evidence. More often than not, you will have to come back later, as more investigation will be needed;

Here’s the screenshots:

But that’s not all: Capcom also uploaded a video explaining how the Divination Séance mechanic works. During a Divination Séance, you get to see everything the victim saw, heard, and even felt right before they died. The problem is that Rayfa Padma Khura’in’s interpretations are not entirely accurate, and so you have to point out anything that looks suspicious, out or place, etc..

In doing so, you will get to see more of the vision, and get closer to truth. Overall, the mechanic isn’t all that different to the usual cross-examination, in that you have to keeping poking and probing at anything suspicious. You can find additional details in this post!

Here’s the video showcasing the Divination Séance mechanic (which happens to be from the demo version):

Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney – Spirit of Justice (3DS) comes out on June 9th in Japan, and in September in Europe and North America.
