Level-5: global launch for Inazuma Eleven Ares (anime), Layton anime series, more

Yesterday, an article from License Mag allowed us to get a glimpse at upcoming projects from Level-5, including a new game in the Layton series, The Snack World outside Japan, and more. But it looks like the company also got an article in Total Licensing, which shares a few more tidbits about the various projects in the works.

First, some details about Inazuma Eleven Ares, and more precisely the anime series, which will debut this Spring in Japan (barring any further delays). The article reveals that no less than 126 episodes are in production, and that Level-5 is aiming for a Global launch in April. With the World Cup this Summer, it’s no wonder the company wants to take advantage of that.

Unfortunately, Total Licensing doesn’t mention the Inazuma Eleven Ares game at all, so it’s unlikely the global launch also applies to it (we don’t even know when it will be launched in Japan, so that’s no wonder).

As for The Snack World, License Mag revealed that Level-5 was looking ahead to 2018 or even 2019 for the franchise in Europe (and North America, presumably). But the article from Total Licensing has a more “concrete” time window: Q3 2018 for EMEA (Europe, Middle-East and Africa).

Finally, License Mag reveals that besides the new game slated for 2018 (mentioned in this post), the Layton series is also getting a 26 episode anime series next year. Unfortunately, it’s not clear when this series will debut, or if said debut will be global like Inazuma Eleven Ares or not.
