Yooka-Laylee: Merry Christmas from Playtonic

Yesterday, Playtonic Games posted a message on their official website, in order to wish everyone a Merry Christmas. They also did so in order to thanks fans for their support throughout 2015. They plan on doing that by working extra hard on Yooka-Laylee, and make sure it’s of the best quality possible…

… oh, and also by releasing a nice Christmas wallpaper!

In their message, Playtonic also talk about how much they’ve expanded throughout the year, and how it’s going to continue next year. As you can imagine, everyone is working hard on the game and eating cake! According to Playtonic Games, we are finally going to see more of Yooka-Laylee in the upcoming months.

They also mention how hard it’s been to keep everyone informed about the development: after all, when it was announced, work on Yooka-Laylee had started 3 months earlier… quite the contrast compared to other games, which are usually revealed one or two years after development has started.

Finally, they explain that the Toybox (one of the rewards for Kickstarter backers) will now come out in Early 2016, as the developers really want to make sure it’s as polished, fun, and representative of the quality they’re aiming for with the final game.

Yooka-Laylee (Wii U) comes out next year in Europe and North America.
