Launch event

Yo-kai Watch comes out this Friday in North America, and to celebrate, Nintendo is going to host a special event at the Nintendo World Store, this Saturday (from 11AM to 2PM). Attendees will be able to try out the game, check out the upcoming Yo-kai Watch toys (to be launched next year by Hasbro), learn the Yo-kai Dance, meet Jibanyan and more.

There will also be one very special guest, available for photos and autographs: Akihiro Hino, President/CEO of Level-5! However, only the first 75 persons in line will be able to meet him. The various activities are all Yo-kai-themed, and include:

  • learning the Yo-kai Dance
  • scavenger hunt
  • memory challenge
  • massive game of “telephone”.

BestBuy offer

If you live in North America, you can head over to BestBuy in order to get 50% off the mainline Pokémon games on Nintendo 3DS. All you need to do is pre-order Yo-kai Watch via this page, and you will get the discount. Here’s what you need to do:

  • select Pokémon X, Y, Omega Ruby or Alpha Sapphire
  • select Yo-kai Watch
  • click the cart button

Nintendo 2DS bundle

Last month, Nintendo of America announced that a Nintendo 2DS bundle (including a digital copy of Yo-kai Watch) would be launched on November 6th in North America. It turns out that Australia will get not one, but two similar bundles:

  • a bundle with a Red and White Nintendo 2DS;
  • a bundle with a Blue and Black Nintendo 2DS.

But it’s not just the colours that are different: the bundles include a physical copy (unlike the North American bundle, which come with a pre-installed copy).

Yo-kai Watch (3DS) comes out on November 6th in North America, December 5th in Australia, and next year in Europe.
