Yo-kai Watch 2 launching on October 15th in Australia/New Zealand

A couple of days ago, we found out that both versions of Yo-kai Watch 2 had been rated by the ACB (Australian Classification Board). That confirmed the pretty obvious: Yo-kai Watch 2 is indeed coming to Asutralia and New Zealand.

And it turns out we only had a few days to wait before getting a announcement. Today, Nintendo Australia announced that Yo-kai Watch: Bony Spirits / Fleshy Souls would be released on October 15th in Australia and New Zealand. That’s basically two weeks after North America, who is getting the game on September 30th.

Once again, Australia / New Zeland gets the game before Europe, which was expected: the first Yo-kai Watch game only came out in April (Australia got it back in December). It’s not clear when Yo-kai Watch 2 will launch in Europe, but it definitely would not be surprising if fans had to wait until 2017…

Also, Nintendo Australia confirms that the second season of the anime series is on its way, but doesn’t give a proper date for it. Finally, we learn that new Yo-kai Watch toys will be released by Hasbro sometime in February 2017.

Yo-kai Watch 2: Bony Spirits / Fleshy Souls (3DS) comes out on September 30th in North America, October 15th in Australia/New Zealand, and later down the line in Europe. Our Upcoming Releases page has been updated!
