Ultratron coming out on May 14th on Wii U

Ultratron is a futuristic twin-stick shooter taking place in a post-apocalyptic world, in which humanity has been wiped out by (obviously evil) killer robots. You get to control the only humanoid battle droid, with a very clear and “simple” mission: avenge humanity. To defeat your enemies, you can buy power-ups for your battle droid, but also some deadly “pets” in the shop.

Ultratron includes a co-op mode and over 40 levels, with enemies such as Chasers, Turrets, Spawners, or Minelayers, and the the four giant boss “bots of the Apocalypse” (Ieiunitas, Bellum, Lues and Letum). As for difficulty, it’s adaptive: harder for good players, easier for less skilled players.

The game was designed as a homage to 80s arcade machines, with a retro-futuristic soundtrack and stylised graphics (including a rather neat simulated CRT-curve effect!).

The game will come out next week in Europe and North America, and will cost: €9.99 / $9.99 / £7.99.
