UK: video games sales for Week 47, 2015 (ending November 21st)

Week 46 wasn’t too hot for new releases on Nintendo platforms in the United Kingdom. Indeed, both Animal Crossing: amiibo Festival and Mario Tennis: Ultra Smash failed to chart! They’re #4 and #7 of the Wii U-only chart, which is a pretty poor result, though not unexpected (both received pretty poor reviews from both the press and players).

But not everything is a negative for Nintendo, as Mario Kart 8 went straight from #37 to #20, in just a week (it’s still the best-selling title on Wii U). This is no doubt a pre-holiday effect, as both Splatoon and Super Mario Maker made their comeback in the Top 40 this week (they’re ranked #23 and #36 respectively). Finally, Animal Crossing: Happy Home Designer is holding nicely, at #36 (it’s back as the top-selling Nintendo 3DS title).
