UK: video games sales for Week 4, 2016 (Jan. 24 – 30)

After several weeks without a single game on Nintendo platforms in the Top 40 Software, things have finally changed during Week 4 in the UK. First, we have Final Fantasy Explorers (a Nintendo 3DS exclusive), which had a rather decent debut: it landed at #12. It’s the new best-selling title on Nintendo 3DS, but unfortunately, it’s quite likely it will disappear from the Top 40 pretty quickly.

Then, we have the Wii U and Nintendo 3DS version of LEGO Marvel Avengers, which sold significantly worse than their PlayStation and Xbox counterparts:

• the Wii U version is only #21 (and the new best-selling title on Wii U)
• the Nintendo 3DS version is only #39
