UK: video games sales for Week 37, 2015 (ending September 12th)

Super Mario Maker launched during Week 37 in the United Kingdom, and it performed pretty well: it managed to grab the #2 spot in the All-format chart! Unfortunately, we do not have any exact numbers, but the fact that the game is just behind the PlayStation 4 version of Metal Gear Solid V is a pretty positive sign. Now it remains to see how long it’s going to remain in the top of the UK sales chart…

It looks like the release of Super Mario Maker had a positive impact on Splatoon, which went from #26 to #18 in a single week. It’s most likely due to new Wii U owners who bought the Super Mario Maker Premium Pack, picking up Splatoon with it. Finally, Mario Kart 8 is #37 (it was #38 during Week 36).
