Major Fixes / Additions:
- Crossplay added between all of the following platforms in public and private games: All different PC storefronts, Nintendo Switch, Xbox One and Series.
- Virtual keyboard enabled for consoles for password input, allowing private games to support Crossplay.
- Invite feature added (does not support Crossplay!).
- Invites enabled for all consoles, within their own console families.
General fixes:
- Fixed hosted lobbies sometimes not appearing in the “Browse Games” -list when there were many ongoing games.
- Plugged a memory leak.
- Fixed a rare case where a joining player brought in an extra local player with them.
- Fixed local players spawning off screen in some cases.
Save system:
- Fixed a case of getting stuck joining a game when player’s save slots were full.
- Fixed Quick Join creating new saves, if player already had a save of that game.
General Gameplay:
- Last used character is now remembered in Classic games if players use a character not default for their player number.
- Fixed being unable to descend a ledge into ledgegrab if standing slightly over the edge.
- Improved ledgegrabbing on sloped terrain.
- Disallowed client having story progress locked skills unlocked, that the host doesn’t yet have, if they played the same save further on their own and then join back.
- Fixed “Last player remaining” -effect persisting after disconnecting.
Skills:
- Fixed a rare crash when controlling another Pontius’ Prismatic Talisman.
- Fixed object lock effect persisting on Pontius’ thrown sword.
- Fixed some upgrades being able to use incorrect player number for their function.
- Exploding clone no longer deals damage to the final boss through its invulnerability.
Level 4:
- Fixed a sharp camera re-focus after breaking out of the Garden Party Gazebo.
Level 7:
- Pontius breaks laws of physics less and no longer can get out of bounds in the level.
- Prevented starting a fight too early by throwing boxes ahead.
Level 8:
- Gate Guardian nor Tower Guardian can get stuck anymore to their flamethrower attack if Amadeus shoves a box to their face.
Level 9:
- One less puzzle that can be broken with Wind Burst and cause player to get stuck.
- Fixed broken French localizations for opening cutscene.
Level 12:
- Added a rope target to the bottom of the elevator near the end of level, in case player falls off.
Level 15:
- Fixes and improvements to the Sauna secret.
Level 18 and 19:
- Fixed Clockwork Mages causing softlocks by falling off or spawning so that they never teleported back up.
Localizations:
- Fixed overlapping texts in Nintendo Switch’s localizations of Czech, German and Japanese.

Online / Multiplayer fixes:
- Browse game & Online multiplayer: Support for friends only games
- You can now host an online multiplayer lobby for friends only using the “Host Friends” button
- Lobbies: Fixed the max lobby search result(s)
Gameplay Fixes:
- Added a failsafe to prevent issues with low fps configurations (Level 4 water puzzle fix)
- Limited the amount of jumps player can do with Wind Burst Leap
- Fused objects are now always kept active
- Fixed levitation stagger getting canceled early if levitating a staggered enemy
- Levitation: Properly synced switching from over-the-head levitation to accurate levitation when playing on gamepad
- Various physics optimizations
- Fixed an issue with invisible players
- Fixed Pontius’s charge direction incorrectly syncing in online multiplayer (made sure he faces forward when charging)
- Fixed Game Over blocking final cutscene
- Fixed player ghost effect sometimes getting disabled after immortality flashing ends
UI/Locale:
- Options menu fonts now update when text language is changed
- Matched players menus background size and position with other similar menus
- Updated buttons for “default”, “highlight”, and “pressed”, fixing them in both the Lobby and the Players Menu.
- Updated the background menu image with a more high resolution version
- Set player name to “local host name” if it’s empty. This should fix some offline game hosting issue for GOG users.
- Fixed an issue with controller vibration
- Fixed game not pausing when controller disconnects
- Fix for narration being skipped in Level Select Menu
- Fix for not being able to buy/refund upgrades on Nintendo Switch
- Fixed “controller missing” popup pause not being cleared in all the cases where the popup was closed
- Tab menu (Skill tree, customization, collections) text fixes- Customize character button now works with mouse
- Fixed “The Spell of Gravity Reversal” overlapping with upgrade point counter on Nintendo Switch
- Swapped “Difficulty” and “Password” sorting options in browse menu
- Fixed Players menu to better fit localizations on Nintendo Switch

- Level exit: Increased the fade out time a bit
- Cinematics: Fix for level 9 skill quest cinematic camera spinning weirdly if the opening cinematic was played during the same run
- Fixed bow drawing visualisation not showing for joining players
- Fixed a crash related to Achievements

How to download updates for Trine 5: A Clockwork Conspiracy for the Nintendo Switch?
To download the updates for Trine 5: A Clockwork Conspiracy, you have three options:
- let the console do its thing if you have automatic downloads activated, and didn’t completely turn it off
If not…
- try to launch the game from the Home Menu while being connected to the internet. You should get a prompt when doing so: simply follow the instructions on screen;
OR
- select the game > press either + or – to go to the Options page > select Software update > select Via the Internet.
To check that you have the latest version installed, simply select the game on the Home Menu, and press – or + to go to the Options: the version number is displayed just below the game title.
