Trine 5: A Clockwork Conspiracy – Hero Spotlight Trailers

Almost 4 years after Trine 4: The Nightmare Prince, Frozenbyte is back with yet another game in the popular Trine series. Trine 5: A Clockwork Conspiracy will be released on Nintendo Switch on August 31st in Europe and North America.

Starting today, Frozenbyte and THQ Nordic are sharing a series of Hero Spotlight Trailers, introducing the playable characters of the game. The Heroes from past entries are back, and it looks like they gained some new abilities since their 2019 outing!

The first Hero Spotlight Trailer introduces Pontius the Knight:

For now, meet Pontius the Knight, Protector of the Realm and also the biggest pie lover the land has ever seen! A real frontline hero who is always going head first into battle to protect his friends!

Your sword and shield will aid you on your journey – if you know how to use them! As a skilled knight and professional pie eater, Pontius can use his sword to fight off enemies, get rid of obstacles, and even use it as a platform to help him reach higher areas. The shield, not only made to protect, will come in handy to reflect light, skate across water, and even use as a glider!

Charge, smash, fight, and puzzle-solve your way through the dangers that await with your fellow adventurers. And should you need further help, the Prismatic Talisman will be your best friend – literally. Clones can be useful!

The second Hero Spotlight Trailer introduces Zoya the Thief:

Clever and elusive, Zoya the Thief pulls off maneuvers with her bow, arrows, ropes, and grappling hook to make her way through tricky thiev… situations. Now, she is leaving her life as an “Entrepreneur” to embark on new adventures in Trine 5: A Clockwork Conspiracy.

The second Hero Spotlight Trailer introduces Amadeus the Wizard:

With great responsibility comes great power? Almost – Amadeus, who is not only a dedicated husband and father of triplets but also a master of arcane arts, takes center stage in Trine 5’s latest trailer. With an array of awe-inspiring spells, Amadeus proves to be not just a great solo-adventurer but also an invaluable asset to his companions in co-op mode with up to 4 players (yes, 4!) as he summons boxes and deftly maneuvers obstacles to clear the path.

Amadeus’ magical prowess in manipulating the environment by conjuring boxes and overcoming hindrances adds a new layer of strategy and creativity for players to explore.

Trine 5: A Clockwork Conspiracy (Switch) comes out on August 31st in Europe, North America, and Japan, with the retail release in Japan following on September 28th.
