Patch notes:

Fixed issues with sound playback.
Fixed an issue in “V-Five” causing abnormal scores to be recorded in the leaderboards.
Fixed an bug in “Hellfire” causing the “1P” version and the “1P BETA” version to launch in reverse order.
Fixed a bug preventing scores to be added to online leaderboards for some titles.
Fixed other minor bugs.

Patch notes:

Improved sound reproduction.
Added option to set rapid-fire shots to any desired frame count via the Options.
Added option to directly launch specific versions of games from the Select screen for certain games with mostly overseas versions.
Added an option to V-Five to allow players to directly launch the Bomber Version from the Select screen; in the original arcade version, this version was originally unlocked by inputting a secret code.
In “BATSUGUN” and “BATSUGUN Special Version”, a function was added to start the game with a Player 2 by holding down the fire button while pressing Start on the title screen.

How to download updates for Toaplan Arcade Collection on Nintendo Switch?

To download the updates for Toaplan Arcade Collection, you have three options:

let the console do its thing if you have automatic downloads activated, and didn’t completely turn it off

If not…

try to launch the game from the Home Menu while being connected to the internet. You should get a prompt when doing so: simply follow the instructions on screen;

select the game > press either + or – to go to the Options page > select Software update > select Via the Internet.

To check that you have the latest version installed, simply select the game on the Home Menu, and press – or + to go to the Options: the version number is displayed just below the game title.
