Super Mario Maker: Ghost Mansion level from IGN

Even though Super Mario Maker comes with over 60 pre-made levels, the meat of the game really is the level-editor. Not only can you make your very own Mario levels, but you can also share them and/or have friends play them. You can either be the “nice guy”, who makes “normal” levels… or you can be a real devil and fill your level with traps and other unfair elements.

Unfortunately for poor Brian Altano, Jose Otero wasn’t trying to play nice with the special Ghost Mansion level he made… quite the opposite. Doors that lead straight toward a Bowser, tricky platforming sections, traps: the level is probably not the hardest one there is, but it’s certainly quite tricky! One thing you might be wondering: did Jose Otera have more fun making the level or watching Brian Altano try to clear it?

On Wednesday, another video will be uploaded: it will show a really hard level, that Brian Altano made in order to get revenge on Jose Otero!

Super Mario Maker (Wii U) comes out on September 10th in Japan, and September 11th in Europe and North America.
