Bug Fixes & Gameplay Improvements
  • Important cutscene fixes – A bug at the Harmony Tree that prevented progress after the cutscene has been fixed.
  •  Tool recovery – If a rare issue causes a tool to be lost, it can now be restored at the workbench.
  •  Farm shop balancing – Improvements to the selling process, including a Sugardew bonus based on shopkeeping level.
  •  Energy warning adjusted – Now appears earlier but does not stay active permanently.

  • D-Pad support for item selection – Plus, a new shortcut button for energy bars.
Visual & Audio Improvements
  • Reworked rain and lighting effects for a more atmospheric environment.
  • New & adjusted sounds for a better overall experience.

  • Fixed an issue with island animals – They now only drop seeds once per day.

How to download updates for Sugardew Island for the Nintendo Switch?

To download the updates for Sugardew Island, you have three options:

  • let the console do its thing if you have automatic downloads activated, and didn’t completely turn it off

If not…

  • try to launch the game from the Home Menu while being connected to the internet. You should get a prompt when doing so: simply follow the instructions on screen;

OR

  • select the game > press either + or – to go to the Options page > select Software update > select Via the Internet.

To check that you have the latest version installed, simply select the game on the Home Menu, and press – or + to go to the Options: the version number is displayed just below the game title.
