Story of Seasons: scans and details for the latest entry (new characters, clothes, more)

Story of SeasonsAs announced on Tuesday, Bokujou Monogatari 3tsu no Sato no Taisetsuna Tomodachi (the latest entry in the Story of Seasons series) is featured in Famitsu magazine this week. This time around, we get some details about new characters from Tsuyukusa Village, but also cooking, clothes, and more.

Let’s start with clothes, which allow you to customise the appearance of your character. There’s clothes proper, but also accessories such as hairpins or glasses. The scans below show various outfits: ninja, cowboy, yukata, and more.

Of course, you will be able to chose the right haircut and hair colour to go with the clothes you’re wearing. This isn’t quite Style Savvy: Story of Seasons Edition, but still a welcome feature for players who like to customise the appearance of their characters!

And as mentioned on Tuesday, there will be some special costumes based on Super Mario characters such as:

  • Mario himself
  • Peach
  • Toad
  • Luigi
  • more

What’s new is that Famitsu confirms those special clothes are not just for show, they also have special effects.

If you prefer food to clothes, no problem: the latest entry in the Story of Seasons series will also have cooking. In order to cook, you first need some recipes (with main ingredients and toppings). The dish you cook can have various “powers” (such as increasing your strength, walking speed, etc.). You can see which “powers” a dish has thanks to the icons found on the recipe card. Of course, you can share dishes with other characters.

Next, we have details about some of the inhabitants of Tsuyukusa Village, and more precisely a family:

  • Ittetsu: the father. He’s not really the talkative type, and can be pretty blunt;
  • Shizu: the mother. She’s the complete opposite of her husband: she’s pretty friendly, and easy to talk to;
  • Tatsumi: the elder son. He’s just like her mother: pretty friendly, and easy to talk to.
  • Yaichi: the younger son. Unlike his brother, he’s quite shy, and doesn’t talk much.

There’s also two new marriage candidates:

  • Hinata: he has a straight personality. He came to Tsuyukusa Village in order to earn some money for his family, and he wants to become an actor. He’s pretty good at looking after kids, due to him having a lot of siblings.
  • Komari: she works at the tea house. She always have a big smile on her face, which his definitely a plus in her line of work. When she was a child, she was rather tomboy-like, and she spent her whole time playing with boys. But she’s changed since then, and now, she wants to become more lady-like.

Talking of regular characters and marriage candidates, there’s an easy way to see which one you can date:

  • marriage candidates have a special icon next to their name (a flower, which seems to change depending on the village the character is from);
  • regular characters do not have any icon next to their name.

Finally, here’s the latest scans from Famitsu magazine:
