Splatoon: first picture of the Ika Musume / Squid Girl costume, details

Nintendo of America just announced that the Ika Musume / Squid Girl costume would also be available in North America. Therefore, it’s pretty much guaranteed Europe will also get it.

Just before the launch of Splatoon, Masahiro Anbe (author of the original manga) made two Splatoon x Ika Musume (Squid Girl) collaboration illustrations. Shortly after launch, we learned from Weekly Shonen Champion (the magazine where the Ika Musume manga is published) that the major August update for Splatoon (coming out this week) would include a special costume.
This costume is based on the clothes Ika Musume wears in the manga / anime series, and consists of three parts: a hat, a dress, and shoes. Today, thanks to magazine scans, we have the first visual for this costume, which will also get a (slightly different) male variant.
