Sonic Boom: Fire & Ice – Gameplay footage (race, boss battle), screens, final EU boxart

September is a bit busy on Nintendo 3DS, with Metroid Prime: Federation Force on September 2nd (Europe), Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney – Spirit of Justice on September 8th (Europe and North America), or even Dragon Quest VII: Fragments of the Forgotten Past on September 16th (in Europe and North America). And in case you forgot, Sonic Boom: Fire & Ice is also releasing this month in the west!

To prepare for this launch, Nintendo shared a video with some gameplay clips for the game. They showcase the following:

• a regular stage with Sonic
• an extremely fast (but straightforward) level
• a 2-player race (Sonic vs Dr. Eggman)
• a regular stage with Tails
• a boss battle

Since the presentation will focus on upcoming Nintendo 3DS games, it’s quite likely that Sonic Boom: Fire & Ice will be showcased in today’s Nintendo 3DS Direct (most likely with a new trailer and/or footage).

Sonic Boom: Fire & Ice (3DS) comes out on September 27th in North America, September 30th in Europe, and October 27th in Japan.
