Shin Megami Tensei: Strange Journey Redux releasing on October 26th in Japan, video

Shin Megami Tensei: Strange Journey Redux (known as Shin Megami Tensei: Deep Strange Journey in Japan) is a full remake of Shin Megami Tensei: Strange Journey, originally released on the Nintendo DS back in 2009. It features a fait bit of additional content, including new story content, new demons, voice acting, and more.

When it was announced, we didn’t get a precise release date, just a vague “Fall”. But today, Famitsu has announced that the game would be released on October 26th. The magazine will have a 12-page article/booklet called Schwarzwelt Investigation Corps Report, entirely dedicated to the game and the Shin Megami Tensei series as a whole, featuring a lot of artworks and screenshots of characters and demons, and more.

But that’s not all: yesterday, Atlus shared another short gameplay video for the game. Here it is:

Also, Famitsu reveals that the Shin Megami Tensei: Strange Journey Redux – Shin Megami Tensei 25th Anniversary Special Box would be available as first-print edition, though details about that will only be shared on July 6th (same day the magazine comes out).

Finally, there will be a livestream on Sunday, focusing on both Strange Journey Redux and the 25th Anniversary of the Shin Megami Tensei series. Could we finally be getting some new details about the mysterious Nintendo Switch project? We only have a few days left before finding out!

The latest issue of Famitsu magazine will be released on Thursday (Wednesday afternoon/evening for Europe and North America).
