Runner3: first soundtrack excerpt (Foodland)

Ever since they started their devblog post series for Runner3, the developers at Choice Provisions have talked about quite a few things already (gameplay, characters, etc.), but there’s something they haven’t mentioned once… the music! And since Runner3 is a rhythm-music platformer, it’s definitely something they had to fix asap.

Fortunately for us, that’s precisely what they did with the latest devblog post, which is about the music. Even better: they actually shared an excerpt from the soundtrack, and more precisely music from Foodland (one of the worlds you will get to run through in the game).

Foodland is, as the name implies, a “land chock-full of toothsome terrain, succulent surroundings, and flavorsome friends”. The following piece of concept-art makes it pretty clear what to expect for this delicious-looking world!

One thing to keep in mind about the soundtrack excerpt below is that it may undergo a tweak or two prior to launch, so don’t be surprised if the final version of the track sounds a bit different. At least, you will be able to get a good feel of the kind of music Runner3 will feature.

If you’re wondering who is composing the Runner3 soundtrack, it’s none other than… Matt Harwood. Yes, the same composer as Runner 2, and… well, pretty much all of the BIT.TRIP series.

Runner3 does not have a release date yet.
