Rune Factory 3 Special: all the latest details, pictures, and videos (Archives)

Rune Factory 3 Special is a remaster of Rune Factory 3: A Fantasy Harvest Moon. It launched on March 2nd in Japan, and on September 5th in Europe and North America. And in the weeks and months leading to that launch, Marvelous are planning to share various details, pictures, and videos for the game.

In this post, you will find all the details, pictures, and videos shared between October 14th 2022 and February 24th. For the most recent updates, make sure to check out this post instead!

February 24th

In Japan, players who pre-order the game at Rakuten will get a costume based on Leon, one of the bachelors from Rune Factory 4!

February 23rd

In Japan, players who pre-order the game at Joshin will get a costume based on Martin, one of the bachelors from Rune Factory 5!

February 22nd

In Japan, players who pre-order the game at Geo will get a costume based on Dylas, one of the characters from Rune Factory 4!

February 21st

In Japan, players who pre-order the game on Amazon.co.jp will get a costume based on Doug, one of the characters from Rune Factory 4!

February 20th

In Japan, players who buy the digital version of Rune Factory 3 Special will get a costume based on Ryker, one of the characters from Rune Factory 5!

February 2nd

Once you’re married, you will be able to have a child with your wife. Build a happy family life for yourself and your loved ones!

January 31st

In Rune Factory 3 Special, there’s 11 different heroines you can fall in love with, and eventually marry. To get your relationship started, make sure to talk to your favourite bachelorette every day, and give her presents to increase your affinity with her. After that, it’s time to move on to the next step: dating. And when your relationship is deep enough, it’s time for the final step: proposal. If the heroine accepts, you will officially become a couple!

January 26th

In order to deepen your relationship with the residents, there are several things you can do: you can complete requests posted on the Bulletin Board, gift items, or simply talk to the people you meet. If you do all those things, you will be able to enjoy some special relationships with specific characters!

January 24th

In Sharance, festivals are held throughout the year, with each season getting its own events: Eating Contest (in Fall), Beach Day (in Summer), and more. Those festivals are a good occasion for you to interact with the various residents of Sharance!

January 19th

Even in a video game, there’s really nothing like home. And in Rune Factory 3 Special, you can decorate it however you like. You can collect wood to craft new furniture, buy paintings and figurines, and more!

January 17th

If you’re looking for a challenge, why not check out the Sharance Labyrinth? This high-difficulty dungeon can be challenged as many times as you want, and its layout changes every time you step inside!

In Rune Factory, farming isn’t everything. There’s also various dungeons for you to explore. Those are filled with monsters to defeat, gimmicks and puzzles to solve, and of course, a boss awaits you on the deepest level!

Today, two guest characters are introduced:

• Mei (voiced by Rie Kugimiya in Japanese), from Rune Factory: A Fantasy Harvest Moon. A travelling ninja on a mission. She’s staying at the Inn in town.
• Yue (voiced by Ai Maeda in Japanese), from Rune Factory 2: A Fantasy Harvest Moon. A travelling merchant who shows up occasionally at the Inn. She dreams of opening a big shop one day.
