Downtown Nekketsu Monogatari SP / River City Ransom SP is a “remake” of the NES classic (featuring improved graphics, new gameplay systems, new story content, and more), and it was initially supposed to launch on April 28th. But back in April, Arc System Works announced that the game was delayed to June 2nd, officially in order to improve the game’s quality.
Unfortunately, it looks like the game has been delayed a second time. This morning, Arc Systems announced that Downtown Nekketsu Monogatari SP / River City Ransom SP would not come out on June 2nd after all. Once again, it’s the game’s quality which is to blame (at least, officially…), which is why the company chose to delay it once more.
But this time around, Arc System Works didn’t give a new release date for Rivery City Ransom SP, and explains that it will be announced later down the line. Our Upcoming Releases page has been updated.
Downtown Nekketsu Monogatari SP / River City Ransom SP (3DS) is coming to Nintendo 3DS in Japan. It is not to be confused with River City: Tokyo Rumble (the western version of a previous Nintendo 3DS game, which will be shown and playable at E3 in June).
