PRELUDE DARK PAIN: details about the Kickstarter stretch goals and gameplay trailer

Last week, the Kickstarter campaign for PRELUDE DARK PAIN kicked off, and so far, it’s going pretty well. Not only has the base goal already been reached (40,000€), but so has the first stretch goal (60,000€ for Bonus & Ranked Mode).

With 64,620€ pledged as of writing, and with still 29 days left, there’s a little doubt the second stretch goal (75,000€ for Additional Crafting Mode+), will be reached within the next few days.

Here’s details about the various stretch goals revealed so far:

60K – Bonus & Ranked Mode

This is the first stretch goal and it’s already funded! Every mission will get additional challenges designed for replayability: the player will have threee extra objectives to get “stars” during the combat to earn greater rewards.

75K – Additional Crafting Mode

The Crafting system in Prelude Dark Pain will gain more depth. There’s currently a rarity system for the gear (Common, Rare), but we also want to add incremental upgrades (Common +1, Rare +2). This task would require extra time spent on balancing resources and combats.

100K – New World Map

As it stands, our current world map serves to travel the land of Statera and enter into combat. If we hit this stretch goal, we’ll be able to implement new features in the traversal, such as more events or even secret fights and bosses .

120K – Demon Hunters

“Demon Hunters” is a new storyline that would add 4 new heroes to the roster, with their own story and a mission to defeat the most dangerous enemies that you’ll find in the land of Statera.

150K – Hardcore Mode

Prelude Dark Pain currently features one default difficulty setting, but we’d like to introduce an extra hardcore mode designed for the Tactical RPG veterans!

Also, Quickfire Games has shared a brand new video for the game: a gameplay trailer to be precise, showcasing the alpha build.

PRELUDE DARK PAIN (Switch – eShop) does not have a release date yet, but is slated for a late 2025 release.
