PoPoLoCrois Bokujo Monogatari: details about quests and the battle system, screenshots

Today, Marvelous revealed some brand new details about PoPoLoCrois Bokujo Monogatari (a new PoPoLoCrois game, with elements from the Harvest Moon series). They cover quests and the battle system, and come with a new batch of screenshots!

PoPoLoCrois Bokujou Monogatari

Let’s start with the Battle System, which is command-based and quite simple: it even features an automatic mode, that can you enable/disable at any time. Before you can attack, you need to wait for a gauge to fills up. Then, you will be able to take action (like attacking enemies or healing teammates), with the grid on the floor showing you the range of your actions. To deal even more damage to enemies, you can attack them from behind.

Just like in most RPGs, each of the characters has their own set of Special Skills, which will prove very useful during battles. Those can be used to attack enemies, heal allies, provide assistance, etc., and your characters learn new ones as they level up.

Marvelous also gives us a preview of some of the quests in the game:

Trent Outbreak: a request from a girl living in Rampling Village. You have to defeat the Trents that have appeared in the nearby forest.
Shells and I: a request from an old man collecting shells in the forest. You have to defeat the Lizardman who stole the old man’s shells.
Oil Pot: because of monsters called Aburatsubo (which look like oil-containers), spilling oil in the Urban Mountains, the mountain road has become quite slippy and very dangerous. To make the road safe again, you will have to defeat those monsters.
