PokéNews (Sept. 23) – Pokémon GO: new update / Pokémon Sun and Moon
Today’s Pokémon news: a new update for Pokémon GO, but also…
- Pokémon Sun and Moon
- Victini distribution
Pokémon GO
Today, a new update for Pokémon GO has started rolling: it brings the game to Ver. 0.39.0 (Android) / Ver. 1.9.0 (iOS). It doesn’t add any really exciting features, but those that are added are still pretty neat.
Here’s the official patchnotes for this new version of Pokémon GO:
- Capture location: The location where a Pokémon was caught will now be displayed on their information screen.
- Pokémon GO Plus and Incense: Trainers can attempt to capture Pokémon they encounter from using Incense with the Pokémon GO Plus accessory.
- Minor bug fixes
This update should be available on your device within the next couple of days.

Pokémon Sun and Moon
Today, GameStop shared a picture of the double-sided poster you can get if you pre-order both Pokémon Sun and Pokémon Moon:
Pokémon Sun and Moon (3DS) comes out on November 18th in Japan and North America, and November 23rd in Europe.
Victini distribution
If you have a European or North America copy of Pokémon X, Y, Omega Ruby, Alpha Sapphire, make sure you get your Victini via the Nintendo Network as soon as possible. The distribution ends tomorrow, after all! To get it, launch the game, make sure you’re connected to the internet, and chose Mystery Gift > Receive Gift > Get Via Internet.
