Pokémon Championships

Yesterday, The Pokémon Company revealed the schedule for the upcoming Pokémon Championships (as part of the 2018 Play! Pokémon series), with the International and Regional Championships.

Let’s start with the Pokémon International Championships:

  • European International Championships – November 17th to November 19th (ExCeL London Exhibition Center, London – United Kingdom)
  • Oceania International Championships – February 2018 (Australia)
  • The Latin America International Championships –  April 2018 (Brazil)

Here’s the full schedule for the Pokémon Regional Championships:

North America

  • September 2nd and 3rd – Grand Wayne Center, Fort Wayne, IN
  • September 30th and October 1st – Connecticut Convention Center, Hartford, CT
  • October 7th and 8th è Ocean Center-Daytona Beach, FL
  • October 14th and 15th – Sheraton Vancouver Airport Hotel, Richmond, BC, Canada
  • November 25th and 26th – San Jose Convention Center, San Jose, CA
  • December 16th and 17th – Memphis Cook Convention Center, Memphis, TN
  • January 27th and 28th – Hyatt Regency DFW, Dallas, TX [located at Terminal C of DFW Airport]
  • February 17th and 18th – Gateway Center, Collinsville, IL (near St. Louis, MO)
  • March 3rd and 4th – OC Fair and Event Center, Costa Mesa, CA

Some quick notes about the 2018 Play! Pokémon series:

  • game used are Pokémon Sun and Moon (no mention of Pokémon Ultra Sun and Ultra Moon for now)
  • the Regional Championships do not have Best Finish Limit
  • Premier Challenges and Midseason Showdowns do have a Best Finish Limit (8)

Pokémon Camp

Today, a new update for Pokémon Camp was released. It brings the game to Ver. 1.3, and adds various new features and elements. Here’s a quick rundown:

  • new PokéBall activity: guide Poké Balls through a maze filled with obstacles to reach the goal
  • Pokémon from the Alola region have been added
  • a day/night cycle has been added
