Pokémon GO: new update being released

Today, a new update for Pokémon GO is being released. It doesn’t add any major features or elements, but it does come with some pretty useful improvements and features, such as being able to transfer multiple Pokémon at a time, Pokémon type icons on the Gym battle approach and Gym battle screens, more info for current and former buddy Pokémon, and more.

Here’s the full patchnotes for the new update, which brings Pokémon GO to Ver. 0.49.1 (Android) / 1.19.1 (iOS):

  • Trainers will be able to transfer multiple Pokémon at a time to Professor Willow. To use this function, press and hold on a Pokémon.
  • Pokémon type icons have been added to the Gym battle approach and Gym battle screen.
  • The total Candy count for your Buddy Pokémon has been added to the buddy information screen.
  • The total kilometers a buddy has walked has been added to the information screen of each Pokémon that has ever been your buddy.
  • Minor text fixes.
