Pokémon Ultra Sun and Ultra Moon: Dusk Mane / Dawn Wings Necrozma’s Z Moves, Z Rotom Power, more

This week, the latest issue of CoroCoro magazine will be released in Japan, and as usual, it does contain some pretty juicy details about Pokémon Ultra Sun and Ultra Moon.

First of all, we learn that Dusk Mane Necrozma and Dawn Wings Necrozma are getting exclusive Z-Moves:

  • Dusk Mane Necrozma gets Sunshine Smasher (from Sunsteel Strike)
  • Dawn Wings Necrozma gets Moonlight Blaster (from Moongeist Beam).

The interesting bit here is that Solgaleo and Lunala can also use those Z-Moves, which isn’t all that surprising since Necrozma does merge with those two. Actually, it’s probably safe to assume the Z-Moves are Solgaleo and Lunala’s to begin with. Also, CoroCoro mentions that both Dusk Mane Necrozma and Dawn Wings Necrozma have the Prism Armour ability.

But this month’s CoroCoro article isn’t only about Necrozma: it also reveals a new feature called Z Rotom Power. Basically, it allows you to use Z-Moves more than once in one battle, which is simply impossible in Pokémon Sun and Moon. Of course, it’s not something that happens automatically: you first need to deepen your bond with the Pokémon/Pokédex first.

And to do that, you simply need to use the Rotom Pokédex often. And that’s good news, because Pokémon Ultra Sun and Ultra Moon just happen to introduce a new feature called Rotopon, which helps you get items. But that’s not all… CoroCoro also reveals that you can do even more with it, such as answering questions, getting reactions, and more.
