Pokémon Sun and Moon: first Battle Competition announced, Magearna distribution

Pokémon Sun and Moon – Battle Competition

Pokémon Sun and Moon have been out for a few weeks already, which means it’s high time for a Battle Competition.

And it just happens that today, the very first Battle Competition for Pokémon Sun and Moon was announced. Called the Battle of Alola, it features the following rules:

  • Battles: Single Battle
  • Pokémon allowed: all Pokémon allowed, but only one special Pokémon per team (ie: Solgaleo, Lunala, etc.)
  • Special items allowed: Mega Stones
  • Registration: until December 15th (only live in Japan as of writing, but will go live in Europe and North America later today)
  • Battles: December 16th to December 18th
  • Entry prize: 50BP

Pokémon Sun and Moon – Battle Spot glitch

Also, another glitch impacting Battle Spot was recently discovered. When both players end up with no Pokémon still up following the use of Rough Skin, Aftermath, Liquid Ooze, Iron Barbs, Innards Out, and Rocky Helmet, the player who used those should be determined as the loser. However, due to the glitch, that player is determined as the winner, but only if they used the Rocky Helmet.

The developers are aware of the issue, and already working on a fix. Unfortunately, it’s not clear when the update will be released.
