Pokémon news (May 1st): Pachirisu distribution, Battle Season and more

Pachirisu distribution

The German National Championships take place on May 16th/17th, and players going there will be able to download a special Pokémon. This time around, it’s Pachirisu: the same one that Sejun Park (the 2014 Champion) used in the World Championships last year. Here’s some details about it:

– Level: 50
– Ability: Volt Absorb
– Moves: Nuzzle, Follow Me, Super Fang, Protect.

According to Serebii, there’s a high chance this Pachirisu will also be distributed at the National Championships throughout Europe, but this has yet to be confirmed.

Battle Competiton – Little Cup

Yesterday, The Pokémon Company announced a new Battle Competition, called Little Cup. It’s only for Pokémon Omega Ruby / Alpha Sapphire, with Single-Battles. The only Pokémon allowed are those which haven’t evolved, but actually have an evolution (like the starters for example). Their level will automatically be lowered to Lv. 5, you can’t use the Evolite, and the moves “Sonic Boom” or “Dragon Rage” are prohibited.

Registration: May 14th to May 21st.
Competition: May 22nd to May 24th.
Reward: 1000 PokéMiles to all participants.

Special Battle Season 10 (Pokémon X / Y / Omega Ruby / Alpha Sapphire)

Today, The Pokémon Company revealed the rules for the Special Battle Season 10, taking place from May 12th to July 14th.

The rules are as follow:

– Battle type: Single Battle – Inverse Battle;
– Pokémon Restrictions: National Pokédex except Mewtwo, Mew, Lugia, Ho-Oh, Celebi, Kyogre, Groudon, Rayquaza, Jirachi, Deoxys, Dialga, Palkia, Giratina, Phione, Manaphy, Darkrai, Shaymin, Arceus, Victini, Reshiram, Zekrom, Kyurem, Keldeo, Meloetta, Genesect, Xerneas, Yveltal, Zygarde, and Diancie;
– Level lowered to 50;
– 3 Pokémon sent in battle;
– you cannot have two Pokémon holding the same item.
