Pikmin 4: demo version, overview trailer, more footage, and some commercials

In less than a month, the highly-awaited Pikmin 4 will finally be unleashed upon Nintendo Switch consoles worldwide. In order for players to prepare themselves for the onslaught of cute yet hardy little creatures, Nintendo has released a demo version on the Nintendo eShop.

This demo allows you to check out the very beginning of the game, and allows you to transfer you progress to the full version of the game. That way, if you’re convinced by the demo and end up getting the game, you will be able to keep playing from where the demo left off!

If you complete the demo version, you will receive a bonus item as reward. Don’t worry if you don’t plan on playing it: you can also get this item in the full version of the game.

And if you haven’t pre-ordered the game yet, Nintendo has a special offer: if you pre-order or buy the game digitally (directly on the Nintendo eShop or by redeeming a Download Code) before July 23rd, you will get x2 the usual amount of Gold Coins on My Nintendo. Don’t worry if you’ve already pre-ordered it on the Nintendo eShop: you are still eligible, as payments are only processed one week before launch.

However, do note this offer can NOT be combined with Game Vouchers (as you receive Gold Coins only when purchasing the Vouchers themselves, not the games you use them on).

If you want to find out more about Pikmin 4, you’re in luck: Nintendo has also shared the usual overview trailer for it! It introduces the key elements of the game, and showcases its various features, giving you a good idea of what to expect (in case the demo version wasn’t enough!).

Here’s the trailer:

And there’s still more! Nintendo has also updated the official website in Japan, opening the two remaining sections.

Also, a new video is now live with over 13 minutes of footage, showcasing quite a few elements of the game.
