This update fixes the following issues:

  • Under certain conditions, it is no longer possible to obtain Clip Picross piece problems.
    • Clip Picross piece problems were acquired by clearing Picross mode. However, the specification has been changed so that they can also be acquired in Mega Picross mode in accordance with the Picross S7 and S8 specifications. If there is a problem that meets the conditions at the time of startup after the update, it will be awarded together.

How to download updates for Picross S Genesis & Master System Edition for the Nintendo Switch?

To download the updates for Picross S Genesis & Master System Edition, you have three options:

  • let the console do its thing if you have automatic downloads activated, and didn’t completely turn it off

If not…

  • try to launch the game from the Home Menu while being connected to the internet. You should get a prompt when doing so: simply follow the instructions on screen;

OR

  • select the game > press either + or – to go to the Options page > select Software update > select Via the Internet.

To check that you have the latest version installed, simply select the game on the Home Menu, and press – or + to go to the Options: the version number is displayed just below the game title.
