Fire Emblem Echoes: latest trailer (Zophia’s Call)

Last month, we got some new details about Fire Emblem Echoes: Shadows of Valentia. We learned that the Alm and Celica amiibo would unlock a special dungeon, though it wasn’t clear whether there would be one dungeon per amiibo, or just one.

And today, Nintendo finally shared a brand new trailer for the game. It doesn’t show anything really new, as it mostly consists of animated cutscenes and story scenes (though there are a few gameplay snippets here and there). It gives us a nice preview of the voice acting, which is used in all the dialogue lines in the game.

Here’s the latest trailer for Fire Emblem Echoes: Shadows of Valentia, called “Zophia’s Call”:

Earlier this week, Nintendo of Europe opened a teaser website for the game, which doesn’t feature any details that were not previously known. And today, Nintendo of America also opened their own website, which is actually pretty much identitical to the European one. The only difference is the following features list:

  • A strategic mix of modern and legacy Fire Emblem gameplay, including permanent death of characters
  • Explore new 3D dungeons in action-adventure style
  • Fully voiced cinematics and story dialogue conjure up a stirring tale of loss and triumph
  • Reimagines the Famicom classic, Fire Emblem Gaiden—never before released in the West
  • Master iconic character classes; Paladins with heavy armor, airborne Pegasus Knights, bow wielding Archers, and more

Fire Emblem Echoes: Shadows of Valentia (3DS) comes out on April 20th in Japan, and May 19th in Europe and North America.
