European sales (H1 2019)

Gfk Entertainment have shared the Top 3 Software for the first half of 2019 in various European countries (+ Russian and Brazil), revealing that New Super Mario Bros. U Deluxe was quite popular, as it appears in the Top 3 of 6 countries. Mario Kart 8 Deluxe was also quite successful, it seems!

Loot Boxes

Earlier this week, at the Federal Trade Commission’s Inside the Game workshop, the ESA (Entertainment Software Association) have announced that Nintendo (as well as Sony and Microsoft) are working toward implementing new policies regarding lootboxes. Starting next year, publishers will have to disclose the odds for lootboxes in all new games (or games getting lootbox mechanics post-launch via a Software update).

This will be a platform-wide policy (similar to what is found on Android and iOS), which means all new games (not just first-party) will have to abide to them. If you’ve played one of Nintendo’s games on mobile, then you pretty much know what to expect.

You can find more details about this on GamesIndustry.biz!

Animal Crossing: Pocket Camp

Dragalia Lost

Here’s the latest videos for Dragalia Lost, with:

  • a new music video, Singing in the Rain
  • the latest episode of the official Dragalia Lost webradio programme

Dragalia Lost (Android, iOS) still does not have a release date in Europe and North America.
