Nintendo Live 2024 Tokyo: music performances (Deep Cut, Zelda orchestral concert) now live; goodies sold via My Nintendo Store in Japan

The latest Nintendo Live event (Nintendo Live 2024 Tokyo) was supposed to take place last week-end (January 20th and January 21st) at the Tokyo Big Sight in Tokyo. Unfortunately, Nintendo was forced to cancel it outright due to security concerns.

The good news is that fans will still be able to enjoy the two music performances originally planned for the event: the Deep Cut concert (Splatoon 3) and the Legend of Zelda Orchestra Concert!

Following the cancellation of the event, Nintendo received lots of messages from fans asking them to still hold the two concerts somehow, and to make it so the goodies that were meant to be sold at the event’s venue could be sold somewhere else instead.

And in light of these requests, Nintendo made two announcements today:

  • the Legend of Zelda Orchestral Concert and the Deep Cut concert will take place on February 9th and February 10th respectively. There will not be any live performance though, and instead, recordings of both concerts will be uploaded straight to YouTube. That way, fans will still be able to enjoy live music from Splatoon and The Legend of Zelda, albeit from the comfort of their home!
  • the goodies that were meant to be sold at the Nintendo Live 2024 Tokyo are now available for purchase on the My Nintendo Store in Japan.

About the musical performances, here’s when their recordings will go live:
